Picosure is an advanced picosecond laser that delivers ultra short bursts of energy to shatter pigment and stimulate collagen. It is FDA cleared to treat stubborn conditions like melasma, nevus of Ota, sun spots, acne scars, and wrinkles, and it is highly effective at removing multicolored tattoos.
How Picosure works
Instead of relying on heat to burn tissue away, Picosure's pulses, measured in trillionths of a second, create a photomechanical pressure wave that shatters pigment and tattoo ink into tiny particles without damaging the surrounding skin. Your body's immune system then absorbs and clears the fragments naturally.
With a special focus lens, the laser also creates microscopic bubbles of energy just under the skin. This triggers a healing response that builds collagen and elastin, smoothing wrinkles, acne scars, and sun damage with virtually no downtime.
